Deco: Iniesta should win the Balon DOr Hes phenomenal! Former Barcelona start Deco believes that if it wasnt for Messi and Cristiano dominating the media headlines, Andrés Iniesta would be hands- down winner of the prestigious Balon DOr award every time. In an interview with Mundo Deportivo, former Barcelona midfielder Deco was asked if hed stayed longer at the club, would Iniesta have grown to become the player he is today? Thats crazy. Speaking of Iniesta, I only recall one player we could compare him to and thats Zidane. Andrés is phenomenal! Whats happening is that you have someone like Messi who blinds the media with his greatness, but for those of us inside football, Iniesta is a beast.
