THE DIEING AND THE GREEDY We live in a world complicated by suffering, Everything in life is taxed by greed With only one sole purpose indeed Unfair attainment of profits above the people's need. Many left with nothing but faith No more wealthy than a mustard seed. Still these brave souls have amassed and grown Each other's good fortune and attained communally Through righteous acts and spiritual pacts Lives of plenty that defeat the forces of greed. Generations of strength through love That count on their hard work and the peaceful joy of God's snow white dove To carry themselves to their goal The achievements of their dreams. Always the next generations hence to build through what esteems Together to hope, foster, develop and grow and build their faith in God above Communities that put forth spirituality at the forefront of everything they manage or achieve. Indeed it's hard to defend The ones who make all the money, who watch from a safe distance as others suffer and continue to die. (While they line their pockets sky high.) These are the ones that seem to have lost the meaning Of community they no longer see a need They separate themselves while they're gleaning Food from the dieing people in dire need. Funny thing:. Both the profiteers and the dieing say the same words: "We are starving, and we are hungry. Feed us, please!!!" Which one do you believe we should feed?
